Salvation

By Grace Alone, Through Faith Alone, In Christ Alone.

“Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

The Good News

What Is Salvation?

Salvation occurs when a person responds to the good news of the Gospel in repentance (turning from sin and no longer trusting in their own works) and faith (trusting in Jesus’ finished work on the cross to forgive them of their sins). Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace that is only received by faith. It cannot be earned, and it is not deserved. That is what makes it such good news! Salvation is not achieved by climbing to the top of a religious ladder, but kneeling at the foot of a cross and trusting in Jesus’ finished work to live for your righteousness and die for your sins.
